Acadian Mining

Acadian Mining Corporation is a Nova Scotia, Canada based gold exploration company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "ADA". The Company is focused on developing its advanced stage gold properties which form the core holdings of an extensive suite of Scotia Goldfields projects.

The Scotia Goldfield's continue to gain prominence with recognition of their potential to host large, bulk tonnage-open pit gold deposits along the recently recognized FMS Trend, as well as high grade underground deposits with considerable depth potential. The Company's initial focus is centered on developing the projects that have potential to host economic bulk tonnage-open pit mines.

Acadian's five advanced properties currently host gold resources contained in the indicated and inferred categories totalling 626,000 and 1,111,000 oz. gold, respectively.

The FMS Trend is a 145 kilometer long, camp scale, northeasterly trending geological corridor in southeastern Nova Scotia that is prospective for bulk tonnage gold deposits. Key features of the 115 kilometers of FMS Trend controlled by Acadian are the coincidence of thick intervals of siltstone and mudstone defining the Fifteen Mile Stream Formation at the bottom of the Goldenville Group with a favorable structural setting. Four advanced gold projects currently being explored / developed in Nova Scotia occur on the FMS Trend, including the Beaver Dam and Fifteen Mile Stream properties that are controlled by Acadian.

Acadian Map

Beaver Dam and Fifteen Mile Stream, located only 18 kilometers apart, boast world class, disseminated gold mineralization over a strike length in excess of 3 kilometers with drill intercepts up to 53.00 meters grading 2.25 g/t gold and, 134.51 meters (approximate true width) grading 1.88 g/t gold (news releases, November 4, 2009; March 4, 2010 respectively). Due to the close proximity of Beaver Dam and Fifteen Mile Stream, a central processing facility located strategically between the two deposits is being investigated.

Base Metals

ScoZinc Ltd., a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Acadian, owns and operates the lead-zinc mine and mill known as the Scotia Mine (Scotia Zinc Project), situated in Gays River, Nova Scotia. The Scotia Mine was put into production in 2007 and operated as an open pit mine until March 24, 2009. As a result of falling zinc and lead prices in 2008 mining operations were ceased and the mine has currently been placed on care and maintenance status.

Acadian also holds large numbers of mineral claims in geological terrain prospective for carbonate hosted zinc-lead deposits similar to the Scotia Mine deposits. The extensive holdings adjacent to Scotia Mine have obvious synergies and economic advantages given the proximity to Acadian's large milling facility.

Industrial Minerals

The Company continues to advance its Nova Scotia barite project located on Cape Breton Island. Barite is the principal component in drilling mud utilized by the petroleum industry to prevent gushers and blowouts, and drill bit lubrication. The deposits host an uncategorized resource of 4.25 million tonnes grading 34.0% barite and 17.3% fluorite (Conwest Exploration Company Limited, 1972).
